WHERE WE STAND
2024-2025
We are all bound by war — it shapes our existence, even from afar. As a Ukrainian, I document the lives of my friends and fellow activists living abroad in the United States, who are physically distant, yet deeply connected to Ukraine, to show the psychological and emotional toll of war. For us, being here isn't about settling down, but staying connected to a homeland actively under russian attack. Where We Stand is shaped and rooted by pain, anger, grief, love, unity, bravery and resilience. It’s the mission. The blurred faces, layered moments, and fractured forms echo the dislocation we carry: lives fragmented by war, yet held together by resistance. In a world quick to forget, these voices demand to be heard.
If someone wanted to take everything from your country — your land, your people, your culture — how would you feel?
